Just For Fun Someone Changed A Traffic Sign In J&K To 'Don't Use Mobile While Drinking'
The signboard was recently installed on the Mughal Road in Kashmir by the Traffic police. Traffic police of the Jammu rural wing had reportedly installed it at Peer Ki Gali. A probe has been ordered into the matter to apprehend the people who indulged in this notoriety.
You know how your friends don¡¯t let you use your phone when you are drunk, afraid that you might butt dial your mother or consciously drunk text your ex? For some reason, want to use the phone when drunk heightens and it NEVER ends well.
Anyway, it is an unsaid, unwritten precaution to take, just to keep your ass*s safe. But some good Samaritan felt the need to caution people of the dangers of using mobile phones while drinking. Omar Abdullah tweeted the picture below:
You¡¯ve had the advice to not drink & drive & the advice to not use your mobile phone while driving. Here¡¯s a new piece of advice. pic.twitter.com/DqajhOWbTj

I don¡¯t dispute that but I¡¯m not sure the traffic police is best placed to issue the advice ?

And before you think of it, no the picture is not fake or Photoshopped. This has been going viral on twitter. According to reports, the sign board was quite recently installed on the Mughal Road in Kashmir by the Traffic police. But some ¡®disgruntled elements¡¯ changed it. Traffic police of the Jammu rural wing had reportedly installed it at Peer Ki Gali.
This advice is extremely relevant. Drunk-texting is worse than an accident ??

As quoted by Greater Kashmir, an official said, ¡°Usually, we see the message ¡®don¡¯t use mobile phone while driving¡¯. This time around, the unique signboard has caused serious embarrassment for the authorities.¡±
When the netizens discovered the interesting signboard, not only did they make it viral but took a dig at the authorities as well though most really find the post relatable.
Drunk tweets and texts are a thing. That is sound advice.

According to latest reports, a probe has been ordered into the matter, to apprehend the people who indulged in this notoriety.
According to Greater Kashmir Mohan Lal Kaith, Superintendent of police (Traffic) Jammu rural said the DySP Traffic of Rajouri Poonch has been asked to look into the matter and submit a report. He apparently said that the act was carried out by disgruntled elements.
Frankly it seems like too much work to have an entire team of people to look into a matter which seems to have harmed nobody. It has proven to be another laughing matter for the netizens and if people are criticising the authorities for it, it only seems to be overreaction.
Don¡¯t our police have enough on their hands that we need them to guard signposts now? The matter is as simple as taking the entire thing down, or just painting the original sign over it. But as is with the internet, it blows up EVERYTHING.
The matter is not as serious as BJP's website being hacked on the very day Narendra Modi took the oath. Now that is something you hold authorities and security responsible for.

Your Delhi BJP website seems to have been hacked... with a... uh... Beef Dry Roast recipe.#awkwardhttps://t.co/alVKsiAYls pic.twitter.com/HOoevGK0ar
The signboard could be a fusion of ¡®Do not use mobile while driving¡¯ and ¡®Do not drink and drive¡¯. Or it just could be a caution message from someone whose drinking experience did not go down well.
