Stop Gate Crashing Weddings Or Face Action, Miffed Authorities At NIT Kurukshetra Warn Students
NIT in Kurukshetra Uttar Pradesh has warned its students not to attend any wedding in the surrounding area unless they are formally invited to the same. Disciplinary action will be taken against students doing such type of activities as per institute rules.
Seems the 'wedding gatecrashing' joke is getting too old for authorities at NIT Kurukshetra. So much so, they have issued a notification to warn students against it.
National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Kurukshetra, Uttar Pradesh has warned its students not to attend any wedding in the surrounding area unless they are formally invited to the same.
'It has been reported that some students of our institute are going to attend marriage parties without having an invitation. This type of behaviour is considered highly unethical/ uncalled for, immoral and unwanted'.

'All the students are informed that they should desist from doing such type of uncivilised activities. Disciplinary action will be taken against students doing such type of activities as per institute rules,' the circular reads.
The Chief Warden proceeded to send out an official letter to the hostel inmates. But for sumptuous-meal-deprived students in the hostel, the gatecrashing practice was one way to satiate their appetite.
After the circular, people on the Internet clapped back saying that there was nothing wrong with the 'ancient tradition' of gatecrashing weddings. Others said that the sorry state of mess food in hostels forces students to resort the 'ancient tradition'.

In weddings at Baradari Marriage Hall in Lucknow, hosts prepare food for additional 100-150 people than what they have inVited. Just because it¡¯s close to Lucknow University Hostel.

Simultaneously, the warden should realise that it indicates the quality of food in their hostel mess !!!
