This Tech Firm Will Pay Whopping Rs 1.5 Crore To You If You Get Your Face Imprinted On Robot
Promobot said they are looking for a 'kind and friendly' face but are open to applications from all races and genders.
A tech company is willing to pay ?1,50,000 (Rs 1.5 crores) to anyone who hands over the right to their face for human-looking robots.
This tech firm named Promobot is gearing up to launch a new line of human-looking robots, but they want them to have a friendly face. This is the reason they want actual humans to lend their faces.
The company has stated how they want a 'kind and friendly' appearance, but they will be open to applications from people of all races and genders, and you'll have to be over the age of 25.
Apparently, the company is ready to launch its robots in hotels, shopping centres and airports in North America and the Middle East from 2023. "Our company is developing technologies in the field of facial recognition, as well speech, autonomous navigation, artificial intelligence and other areas of robotics. Since 2019, we have been actively manufacturing and supplying humanoid robots to the market," said the company
"Our new clients want to launch a large-scale project, and as for this, they need to license a new robot appearance to avoid legal delays."
After the applicant is chosen they will first have to take a 3D model of their face and body for the robot's external features. Then 'you will have to dictate at least 100 hours of speech material to copy your voice', which will then be used by the machine to communicate with customers.
After that, the winning applicant will have to 'sign a license agreement' that allows 'the use of your appearance for an unlimited period'.
After this, the company can essentially use your face and voice forever. Well, even though it does sound creepy, won't it be awesome that our face can take on the world when robots take over?
Something to think about, right?
