The US has been frozen for quite some time now - first, it was parts of Niagara Falls that was frozen, then the Lake Michigan and then temperatures plunged as low as -40 degree Celsius, even lower than Antarctica.
"To protect your lungs from severely cold air, avoid taking deep breaths; minimise talking," warned the National Weather Service.

"If you live up in the Arctic Circle, you'd say this is pretty normal. When it's actually brought down to this level, that's when you know it's something serious," weather service meteorologist Brian Hurley told the MailOnline.
