Is diesel/petrol that costly. As per pic it looks maximum 50 km. Even with 10km mileage it will cost around 500 rupees. They're taking 2.5 k extra for what ?. 1200 rupees should be enough for this ride.

The phenomenon of cab companies charging exorbitant fare charges isn't just prevalent in India.
Last year, a man in the UK woke up very stunned and confused from a night out after he saw an uber ride fare worth ?104 (Rs 10,413) after travelling just 11 miles (17.7 km).
According to Manchester Evening News, Sam George took the cab from Manchester City Centre to his home in Crumpsall. This took less than half an hour. He had spent the night partying with friends at the popular Factory nightclub.
According to Sam, the fare from the nightclub to his house is generally 'around ?25'. However, when he looked at his phone the next day to find his trip home ended up being four times this amount.
