'Not-So-Sly': UK Bookstore Displays Prince Harry's 'Spare' Next To 'How To Kill Your Family'
The snapshot of the bookstore has already gained widespread attention online, even though it appears to be a subtle jest directed at the memoir and its controversial content.
On Tuesday, January 10th, Prince Harry's memoir, Spare, was released to the public after months of controversy and worldwide attention for startling revelations about his personal life and the royal family.
The siblings, Harry and William, have had a turbulent relationship since Harry and Markle quit their royal duties in 2020 and moved to California.
The rift exploded in 2021 when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a bombshell interview in which Harry claimed that his brother and father, King Charles III, were trapped in their roles.
Salacious details of their personal lives have always intrigued people.
Many people immediately flocked to bookstores to purchase copies after the book's release.
Meanwhile, a picture of a UK bookstore went viral after it was captured next to a copy of Bella Mackie's How to Kill Your Family, which has been termed "deliberately exhibited" alongside the memoir.

The bookshop also put the same photo and the funny message on its official Twitter account.

Speaking on the same, a bookstore staff member called it a ¡®light-hearted¡¯ but ¡®intentional¡¯ move for fun purposes. Talking to Newsweek, he said,
"It was light-hearted. It was certainly intentional; it wasn¡¯t an accident. The How to Kill Your Family book was in our window anyway because it was our best-selling book of 2022. When we were putting Spare out this morning, we thought, ¡®oh, let¡¯s put them together, it will be funny,"
After his Netflix documentary premiered last month, Prince Harry has released his latest piece, 'Spare,' published by Penguin Random House.
Before and during his time as a prince and in his private life, the book reveals shocking facts about Harry that have never been made public. Recently, a Spanish-language edition of the book was also leaked by mistake.
