Woman Injured In Road Accident Dies After Argument Between Doctor & Police Delays Treatment
After the incident, the hospital has taken the cognisance of the matter and assured an inquiry into it. It is stated that the woman died due to the loss of the golden hour in which she should have been given the treatment.
In another gut-wrenching case of medical negligence, a 48-year-old woman who suffered injuries in a road accident in UP's Badaun district died after precious time was lost for treatment.

The doctor at the community health centre allegedly refused to treat her as he was 'busy on the phone' and later got into an argument with a cop, reports TOI.
According to reports, the argument continued for 20 minutes while the woman was lying on the stretcher.
It is stated that the woman died due to the loss of the golden hour in which she should have been given the treatment. Golden hour is the first hour in which the person is supposed to be given the first aid.

A two-minute video of the argument has also gone viral in which the doctor and the sub-inspector are seen arguing with each other. It is said at that time the woman was alive but when the doctor started treating her, she succumbed to her injuries.

The policeman told TOI, ¡°The doctor¡¯s behaviour was callous and unacceptable. When I asked him to hurry up and look at the patient whose condition was deteriorating, he said accident cases were all too common in the area and there was no need to worry.¡±

Badaun SSP Sankalp Sharma raised the matter with district magistrate Kumar Prashant. The DM told TOI further action would be taken after looking at the autopsy report. ¡°If the death is due to negligence, appropriate action will be taken against those responsible,¡± he said.

The woman, identified as Ramwati, was travelling on a motorbike with her son and nephew when they were hit by an unidentified vehicle in Bilsi area of Badaun district.
All three were injured in the accused. Her nephew had critical injuries and was taken to a private hospital while she and her son were taken to the community health centre of the state government.
