Woman Faces Backlash For Making Rotis In Pressure Cooker In A Viral Video
A video circulating on social media depicts a person preparing rotis in a pressure cooker in minutes. In the video, several rotis are rolled on a rolling board and then arranged on a dish.
Making the perfect round and fluffy roti is considered an art, and few amateurs excel at it. While it's easy for individuals who've been cooking for a long time, most others find it difficult.
Making rotis is a time-consuming operation. People are constantly seeking for methods to make things easier, from making the dough to burning it on the griddle to ensure it cooks properly.
While there are machines that do hard labor, not everyone has enough space to house them. This user appears to have discovered a quick method for making rotis. But, is it truly effective?
What did the woman do in the viral video?
A video circulating on social media depicts a person preparing rotis in a pressure cooker in minutes. In the video, several rotis are rolled on a rolling board and then arranged on a dish.
A woman takes a pressure cooker and places it on the stove. She then adds salt to the cooker and puts a steel bowl on top. Next, she piles the roti she had set aside. Finally, she places the stack in the bowl, covers the cooker, and allows it to cook.
After a while, she opens the top and reveals the perfectly cooked roti. She sprinkled a little ghee over it to enhance the flavour.
How did people on the internet react?
A user also pointed out, "It's a manipulated video, so it's unsafe. No steam without water. "Cooker may explode."
Many people warned against such misleading videos and urged online users not to share such futile hacks. "Please don't try this at home. Without water, the cooker will not pressurize, and it will not whistle, as demonstrated in the video. Please don't try this; it's quite risky," remarked one.
Another user sarcastically commented, "Do not post such videos; boys in hostel may think this is how they can make chapatis."
