Brazilian gang leader Clauvino Da Silva tried to escape from prison by dressing up as his daughter when she visited him. His plan was to walk out of the penitentiary&rsquos main door and leave his 19-year-old daughter inside the jail. However his escape attempt was caught by the jail authorities and the police are now looking into the daughter's possible role as an accomplice in the case.
There have been several bizarre jailbreak attempts by criminals, while some are actually successful in their plans, others fail and that's exactly what happened with this Brazilian gang leader.
Clauvino Da Silva tried to escape from prison by dressing up as his daughter when she visited him in the meeting area. His plan was to walk out of the penitentiary¡¯s main door and leave his 19-year-old daughter inside the jail.
However, his escape attempt was caught by the jail authorities and the police are now looking into the daughter¡¯s possible role as an accomplice in the case.
Photos and videos of the Da Silva in a silicon mask and long dark-haired wig went viral on social media after it was released by Rio¡¯s State Secretary of Prison Administration. The video that went viral shows the gang leader removing his silicon mask and some clothes. He wore tight jeans and a pink shirt that had a cartoon image of donuts, reported AFP. He also goes on to say his full name.

But do you know how he got caught? The jail authorities said that the nervousness displayed by Da Silva as he tried to escape the prison in Rio De Janeiro gave him away.
According to local reports, Silva was one of the leaders of the ¡®Red Command¡¯, a powerful criminal group in Brazil that control drug trafficking in many parts of Rio. He has now been transferred to a maximum-security prison in Rio and will soon be produced in court, official said.
In another incident, the birthday of a businessman in Agra proved lucky for 17 inmates in jail who couldn¡¯t afford bail money, as Motialal Yadav - a businessman - deposited Rs 32,380 as the penalty amount to release them on bail. This is the gift he gave to the inmates on the occasion of his 73rd birthday.

The amount was given to sanction bail of the inmates who were booked in petty offence and were languishing in jail for an extended period after they were booked. This gave the 17 inmates a release from the prison as they couldn¡¯t afford bail despite being eligible to apply and get one, Hindustan Times reported.
Superintendent of the district jail, Agra, Shashikant Mishra said, ¡°Today, on the occasion of his 73rd birthday, local businessman Moti Lal Yadav, came with the offer that he wanted to pay the penalty amount of the inmates who were unable to do so and were forced to stay in jail.¡±
