A woman in UK was dating a most wanted criminal and had no about it. A 35-year-old woman from UK, Stella Paris, was dating a man, Christopher Guest More, she met in a Malta strip club back in 2012.
Maybe it's strange to say this, but do you ever really know the person you met randomly and started dating eventually? For all you know, they could have lied about their background, family or profession. Something quite like this happened to a woman in the UK who was dating one of the most wanted criminals and had no clue about it.
Women dated one of the UK's most wanted criminals
35-year-old Stella Paris from the UK met Christopher Guest More in a Malta strip club back in 2012.
As per reports, Stella shared that she was initially attracted to More because of his wealth but they eventually struck up a genuine relationship. She also described him as a motivated person with a positive-thinking attitude and someone who had a great vision when it came to business and making money.
How More's unusual behaviour made Stella feel something was off
If you are a criminal, you long can you really hide it? This happened in this case too. More's unusual behaviour inadvertently, and slowly, gave away his biggest secret. She noticed that he would never allow her to take his pictures or ever post them on social media. He would often change his hairstyle when stepping out of the house.
She told Daily Star, "I knew something was wrong with him but I didn¡¯t know he was a criminal." She also revealed that More eventually became extremely controlling.
She also narrated a personal story that led her to suspect her boyfriend more. She said, "Once when we went to a restaurant I was like ¡®hold on, are you trying to hide your face because you are ashamed of me? Are you worried Maltese people are going to see me and they will know you¡¯re going out with a stripper?"
They eventually broke up in 2013 after which Paris moved to London.
Christopher Guest More's criminal record
Six years after moving to London, she found out that her ex was a murderer when her mother showed her a newspaper article with his criminal records.
More was a suspect in a murder case from 2003. He later changed his name to Andrew Lamb and moved to Malta to disguise himself.
Paris told the Daily Star, "The fact he was a murderer shattered me. The details of the torture horrified me and [it] was hard on my mental health. Oh god, you have no idea how it affected my life. It caused me not to trust people. How can you know who someone really is?"
More was caught in 2019, and is now serving a life sentence for his crimes with a minimum term of 24 years.
