On the June 2 episode of WWE RAW, Lyra Valkyria stepped into the spotlight and made her intentions clear. She is not just fighting for gold this Saturday. She is fighting for pride, respect, and to stop Becky Lynch from poisoning the legacy of the WWE Women¡¯s Intercontinental Championship.
Live from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Valkyria took the mic during the second hour of RAW and went straight after her Money in the Bank opponent. According to Valkyria, Lynch¡¯s attempt to hold her down only unlocked the version of her that is capable of defeating ¡®The Man¡¯ once again. With fire in her voice, Valkyria promised to protect the Women¡¯s Intercontinental Title from being tainted by Becky¡¯s manipulation and pride.
Lynch responded by saying that Lyra¡¯s perspective has been poisoned. She insisted she never wanted to hurt Valkyria but wanted to make her better. However, she added that things have changed, and now the only thing that will truly break Lyra is when she is forced to raise Lynch¡¯s hand after losing at Money in the Bank.
Becky then left the ring, refusing to fight in Tulsa. But Lyra chased her up the ramp, leading to a wild brawl that had to be broken up by WWE officials.
