On February 8, software engineer Jishnu Mohan, a programmer for HR firm Forma, was laid off barely a day after he posted on Twitter about his lack of confidence in his professional abilities, as per a Moneycontrol report. As part of a wider corporate reorganization, Mohan lost his job as a software engineer at Forma. He had been employed by the life benefits platform for four years, having joined in 2019. Mohan was employed remotely full-time from Kochi, Kerala, at the time of his layoff.
¡°The whole recession situation in tech making me unease. May be at the lowest confidence level in my career,¡± he had tweeted on February 7. Less than 24 hours later, Mohan shared an update about being laid off. ¡°That was quick. I got laid off today, as part of reorg. So actively looking for a job now. Please let me know if anyone is hiring,¡± the techie said.
