In a new update, Meer Foundation along with 174 other NGOs have been granted Foreign Contribution Registration Act (FCRA) license for the next five years. This means that these organizations can now receive foreign grants and contributions.
The Ministry of Home Affairs released the list which also includes Olympic medalist Mary Kom¡¯s NGO Mary Kom Regional Boxing Foundation.

SRK's Unconditional Love For His NGO Meer Foundation
Last year in September, Shah Rukh Khan, in collaboration with the Meer Foundation, organized a screening of his film "Jawan" for the underprivileged. Reports suggested that this provided many individuals with their first-ever theater experience.
SRK had even opened up about his NGO during an AMA session on X. He said, "I think we are moving in the right direction and helping as many as we can to lead a happier life. No need to talk about that. But I'm very excited. I have just told them to show the film #Jawan to all NGOs this week. All over. Somebody just gave me that idea so I'm feeling happy."
On the work front, Khan is eagerly anticipating the release of his upcoming film "King," in which he stars alongside his daughter Suhana.
Additionally, he is involved in the directorial debut of his son Aryan, titled "Stardom." Furthermore, Khan is set to reprise his lead role from the 2023 hit film "Pathaan" in the upcoming project "Tiger vs Pathaan."
