Speaking at the 4th edition of CII Real Estate Confluence 2022 yesterday (17th February 2022), ace Indian investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala said, ¡°The stock market has no king. The ones who thought they were, landed up in Arthur Jail¡¯.
The Big bull added that the market is the only king.
Nobody Can Predict Market, Weather, Death & Women
The ace investor stated at CII Confluence that nobody can predict weather, death, market and women.
Jhunjhunwala said, "Market is like a woman, always commanding, mysterious, uncertain and volatile. You can never really dominate a woman and likewise you cannot dominate the market".
He also said that he made a presentation to PM Narendra Modi where he said " India ka time aayega nahi, aa gaya hain," meaning India's time has come.

IT Industry To Employ 50 Lakh In Next 5 Years
While projecting India's GDP to grow at 10% by Financial Year 2025-26, Jhunjhunwala emphasized the need for a platform for the ease of doing business in India.
And he further said that the IT industry will employ 50 lakh more employees in the next 5 years and there would be demand for 50 lakh houses. The urbanization in India today is 45% of China's, and as urbanization comes, housing demand has to come.

REITs Will Be A Big Asset
The Big Bull also said he is extremely bullish on commercial real estate and that he would prefer REIT (Real estate investment trust) listing rather than listing real estate companies, it'll be a big asset.
Jhunjhunwala said "I could be wrong but I don't think people are able to see the implications of what is happening in India. If you see history, all prosperous societies carry two qualities: skilled and hard-working people and a democracy. There is only a tryst of socialism in India. With all due respect to Nehru Ji, India has taken so many years to reach where it is."

Jhunjhunwala's Low-Cost Airline
Speaking at the CII Confluence, the ace investor also commented on the aviation sector, saying that it will grow going forward although pricing needs to improve in the industry.
For the uninitiated, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala is also stated to launch a new low-cost Indian carrier airline that is looking to start commercial flights in early June this year. The airline, named Akasa Air, has been co-founded by Jhunjhunwala and former Jet Airways CEO Vinay Dube in 2021.
