Years ago, he made headlines for an ugly spat with son Gautam Singhania. In a fresh update, it looks like the father-son duo have finally made up as a recent photo of them started doing the rounds on social media.

Raymond chairman and managing director (MD) Gautam Singhania posted a photo of welcoming his father home. ¡®¡¯Happy to have my father at home today and seek his blessings. Wishing you good health Papa always,'' Gautam Singhania wrote on X.

Why Did The Fallout Happen?

As per reports, Vijaypat relinquished control of the company to Gautam in 2015. Years later, he publicly regretted his decision, labeling it a "stupid" mistake to entrust everything to his son. He cautioned parents to "think very carefully before they give away everything to their children." In an interview, Vijaypat also said he was left with little money to survive as his son took away everything from him.

Here¡¯s a timeline of their feud:

1. In 2015, Vijaypat transferred a significant 37% stake in the billion-dollar textile empire, valued at over Rs. 1,000 crore, to his son.

2. Under the terms of a 2007 agreement, Vijaypat was set to receive a Rs. 7,100 crore apartment in the Singhania family's 36-storey JK House in Malabar Hill for just Rs. 600 crore. However, Gautam refused to meet his end of the deal, keeping the company and the apartment.

3. In 2019, the senior Singhania lodged a complaint against his son citing ¡®theft and trespassing¡¯ at his rented home Mahindra Towers. Gautam rejected the claims calling it ¡®malicious and baseless¡¯. In exchange, he accused his father of gaining ¡®media mileage¡¯ and ¡®cheap publicity¡¯.

4. The duo again locked horns when Gautam objected to the publishing of a memoir written by his father through a court injunction.
