'Dear David,' a ghost child with a misshapen head, found in 'comics guy' Adam Ellis a human he could haunt, and one he has been for six months now.
A sketch of David.
Entertaining, yes. Creepy, too. Some warped publicity stunt (he had a comic book coming out at the time he first posted about this)? Can't say.
It was in August, 2017 when Adam Ellis, an illustrator and cartoonist, first started tweeting about David.
Adam, who admittedly suffers from sleep paralysis, says he first saw this disfigured ghost child in a nightmare. It wasn't long before 'it' crossed over to the real world through said nightmares. He had yet another dream where he learnt the ghost's name was David and that he could only ask 'it' two questions and not more. But as is the case with most horror movies, our protagonist didn't stop at the two questions, and in yet another nightmare that came too soon, Adam asked a third. His fate was sealed. [Cue dramatic music]
Shit goes down
Somewhere between learning the name of the ghost child and having constant nightmares, Adam moved to a bigger apartment. This new apartment was one floor up from the ground floor apartment he was already living in. Adam didn't seem to mind. Then again, who minds the extra space? But you DO mind your two cats meowing in the middle of the night sitting in front of the main door.
The cats led Adam to the door, the door to the peephole and the peephole to this:
Notice the dark, almost-outline of David?
Adam installed cameras, recorded footage, saw his cats behaving strangely and even had this dream.
Not before leaving, for now, on a positive note
Ellis has made a Storify of all his 'David experiences' that he updates regularly. Plenty of creeps right here.
Sweet dreams.
