Good news foodies, Taj Mahal Mumbai would be serving its patrons a throwback menu from 1947 and for 1947 only! To mark 70 years of Independence, the menu will be repeated from the night of 14th August.?

The hotel established in 1903,known for its glorious past will be serving the Indo-French menu . The menu has Consomme a l'Indienne, a tomato clear soup made with Indian spices. The other dish is also a soup called as Veloutes d'Amandes. Delicacies a l-Hindustan is a dish with three flavoured smoked cottage cheese steaks with mint chutney.
The main course will offer Paupiette de Saumon Joinville, a dish which consists (salmon roulade, soft creamy mash, wilted spinach, turned vegetables and joinville sauce). Poularde souffle Independence (chicken souffle with steamed vegetables and lemon parsley sauce) would also be served.
Consomme a l'Indenne
Everything on the menu is the same, except for the cabaret night, which would be replaced with a three-piece band, a saxophonist, pianist and singer.
The menu would be served between August 12 to 15 at other Taj properties like ?Taj Palace, New Delhi; Taj Coromandel, Chennai; Taj Bengal, Kolkata; Taj West End, Bangalore; Taj Krishna, Hyderabad, Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad and St. James Court, A Taj hotel, London.
The meal will be served with glass of still or sparkling wine and will be priced at INR 1947 plus taxes.
