BTS reunion is inching closer and their fans, known as ARMYs, are happier than ever. A recent report has revealed that BTS members, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook, have completed 60 per cent of their mandatory service, after having enlisted in the South Korean military last year. Earlier this year, Jin became the first member of the supergroup to complete his mandatory service, while J-hope was the second BTS member to complete his soldier duties.
It's been a while since an OT7 reunion. Much to fans' disappointment, except for Jin, nobody attended J-hope's discharge ceremony last month. The only reunion that fans can now expect is in 2025 when all the members complete their mandatory service. On November 4, The Camp, a South Korean military app, revealed RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have completed 60 per cent of their service, meaning they are just seven months away from reuniting with Jin, J-hope and Suga. While all the six members enlisted in the military, Suga was exempted from the service due to a shoulder injury. He is currently serving as a social service agent, an alternative form of military service in the country.?
Amid the drama involving BTS member Suga's DUI case, the recent update has brought a much-needed wave of excitement among fans of the wildly popular band. Since the update was made public, ARMYs have taken to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their excitement in the wake of happy news.
One excited fan wrote, "Y'all don't understand how CLOSE we are to bts reunion. fri(end)s and Hots were released 7 months ago and bts came back in 7 months."
Another X user wrote, "Jungkook's team dancers mentioned that they can¡¯t wait for 2025 and that they¡¯re going to "kill it," implying they plan to be working together again. Meanwhile, HYBE is telling us that nothing specific is planned for a BTS reunion in 2026 IF they even get back together at all."
A third fan added, "I¡¯m already planning an outfit for when bts go on a reunion tour no one look at me."
"Just remember, BTS will be back in 2025," a netizen simply highlighted.?
BTS members RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook embarked on their mandatory military service last year, marking a significant chapter in their personal lives. The group's decision to enlist came shortly after they announced their brief hiatus in 2022 in pursuit of their individual activities. On December 11, 2023, RM and V reported for duty, followed by Jimin and Jungkook the next day. Since then, the quartet has been serving their nation across various branches of the military. Meanwhile, on the music front, all BTS members are also now well-established soloists with chart-topping solo songs to their credit.
