Amidst this, a video of Bengali singer?Rupankar Bagchi is doing rounds on the internet in which he is seen passing negative remarks on KK. Speaking in Bengali, Bagchi says that singers hailing from Kolkata can sing 'better than KK' and questions why there is no hype around them.?
An HT reports quotes the singer saying in Bengali,? "I got to know through Facebook that the one and only KK was in Kolkata for a show and there has been a lot of excitement about it.¡± Comparing KK¡¯s performance, he named Kolkata-based artistes and bands and added, ¡°I have seen videos of mine, Anupam Roy, Somata, Emaan Chakraborty, Ujjaini Mukherjee, Cactus, Fossils, Rupam Islam and others. I think we all sing better than KK, why do you not get excited about us? What is the reason?"
He further adds, "Who is KK? We are better than any K. All the singers I have mentioned are far far better than Mr KK. Be a Bengali guys please."
Fans are schooling the Bengali singer over his remarks and are telling him to respect artists.?
KK was the voice behind some of the best songs in Bollywood and formed a major part of childhood for every 90s kid out there. Right from celebrating the spirit of friendship with 'Yaaron Dosti' to celebrating love with?Tu Aashiqui Hai from Jhankaar Beats, we all have emotions and memories attached to the late singer's songs. He died of a heart attack shortly after performing a concert in Kolkata and his death has left a void that will never really be filled.
