Karan Johar To Ajay Devgn, Celebs Mourn Singer KK's Untimely Death, Shares Heartfelt Condolences

Bollywood has lost one of its magnificent artist as singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK passed away in Kolkata on May 31, 2022. Reportedly, KK was performing at a concert in Kolkata when he complained about feeling uneasy.

While KK's cause of death remains unknown, police have registered a case of unnatural death.

KK's Videos Goes Viral

Moreover, videos from the concert showing KK performing on stage have gone viral on the internet. In one of those videos, the 53-year-old singer can be seen sweating profusely as he takes a break to wipe off the sweat on his face.

It has also been reported that at one point, KK was allegedly seen gesturing to a man about the air-conditioning at the venue as many on social media have claimed that the auditorium where KK was performing was overcrowded due to which the heat became oppressive during the event. While other voices in the viral video of KK were heard expressing, "Bohot zyada garmi hai (it's very hot)".

Another video on the internet shows KK being rushed out of the venue. The singer reportedly went back to his hotel room where his health condition deteriorated. Reports suggest that he complained of chest pain before his shocking death on the way to the hospital.

Tributes Pour In For KK On Social Media

Shocked and saddened by the news of KK's demise, Karan Johar to south star Chiranjeevi, celebrities took to social media to pay tribute to the singer.

"Heartbreaking news on the sudden passing away of such an incredible talent¡­. RIP KK¡­? the entertainment world has lost a true artist today¡­.Om Shanti ?," filmmaker Karan Johar tweeted.

When KK Became A Singing Sensation

KK became a singing sensation with the release of his 1999 debut album Pal, which was critically acclaimed. KK's last performance on the stage is his timesless classic song Pal at the Nazrul Mancha in South Kolkata on Tuesday hours before his death. Audience present at the concert waved their hands and mobile phones with flash lights on, as KK sang his 1990s hit "Hum, rahen ya na rahen kal..." refreshing everyone's memories.
