This year sure was a chainsaw to the wound for anyone bingeing on some good TV and cinema. From characters we truly adored, to those we couldn't stand, this list covers the whole nine yards. Hold on to your screens.

We knew right from the start that Bob's ever-accommodating character was created to be killed off eventually. We were totally rooting for Bob but good characters only last so long. His death, too, was pretty harsh. Joyce, Bob and Hopper reach the mysterious lab in Hawkins to investigate the strange (duh) goings on in town, when the Demo-dogs hit the scene. And before you can shout "Bob" the Demo-dogs take him down in what was also the most unfair ending for one of Stranger Things' best.

When the employees working here realise that shit is going to go down, their first instinct is to run. Little do they know, the chips in their heads can explode. And explode they do. This leads to what is probably the goriest scene in this nail-biting flick. Image too graphic to show here.

Admittedly one of the weirdest, off-the-hinge (in a good way) movies, this scene is where the movie truly outdoes all the other scenes. Apparent fans of the protagonist-author hold his newborn and pass the child around. An audible snap confirms the viewer's worst fears - the child is now dead and all that's left are his remains. As the camera turns to face the crowd, we see its feasting on those very remains. We also spoke about the scene here.

Easily one of the most awaited on-screen kills of the season, hell, the year. Sansa finally takes the step we wished she'd taken a billion years back - ordering Littlefinger's execution. And who swings the sword? Arya Stark, of course. Just one more reason to love her more.

What's will probably hook the viewer right about here is how easily Rose becomes the victim of the very plan she helped hatch. She dies in front of the very man she was trying to kill. At night. On the road leading to her home. Knowing her parents died too. Covered in blood.

This is the story of how a college hazing event may have played a big hand in the protagonist turning into a cannibal. It's only at the end she discovers how bad she's really got the canni-munchies. Right about this scene. We also spoke about this scene here.
