On Wednesday, India¡¯s public broadcaster Prasar Bharti launched its OTT app called ¡®Waves¡¯ at the opening ceremony of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. The OTT app comes with a varied range of archives of Doordarshan and Aakashvani series.?
Apart from these shows, other Doordarshan classics like the Ramayan and Shah Rukh Khan's Fauji will now be available on the OTT app ¡®Waves¡¯. You can download the app on your Android and iOS mobile devices.?
While speaking at the event, Navneet Sehgal, Chairman of Prasar Bharati, said that the initiative has been launched to offer clean, family-friendly entertainment on OTT.?
To watch your favourite shows, you have to download and install the Wave OTT mobile app like other OTT platforms. Logging into it, you can stream all the Doordarshan and Aakasvani shows.?
The OTT app offers nearly 40 live channels, including popular ones from broadcasters including B4U, ABZYM, SAB Group, and 9X Media. Along with these, you will also find news channels such as India Today, News Nation, Republic, News24, ABP News, and NDTV India.?
