Laal Singh Chaddha, a film starring Aamir Khan, has garnered a lot of recent media attention. As the crowd eagerly anticipated the film's debut because it was predicted to be the largest moneymaker of the year. Laal Singh Chaddha, however, turned out to be a huge box office flop.
In the past, Khan has declared that he won't make Laal Singh Chaddha streamable for another six months after the movie hits theatres. The actor remarked, "You may watch the movie right now in theatres, or you can wait six months to watch it on OTT."
Now, according to Bollywood Hungama, Aamir Khan asked the major streaming service for Rs. 150 crores. He also asked that Laal Singh Chaddha will make its OTT debut on Netflix six months after its theatrical debut because he was considering a Chinese distribution.
The streamer was prepared to offer Rs. 80¨C90 crores, and after the movie's failure, even lowered his offer to Rs. 50 crores, which wasn't how Aamir had anticipated the situation would play out. Thus, the agreement never happened since Aamir refused to accept that sum and demanded a final price of Rs. 125 crores.
Laal Singh Chaddha is a remake of the Hollywood film Forrest Gump. In contrast to Laal Singh Chaddha and the boycott culture, Forrest Gump is already available on OTT, and the general public claims they would be interested in seeing that. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aamir Khan play prominent roles in the movie.
