Amid the never-ending buzz, The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) just gave Ranbir Kapoor's movie Animal, "A" certificate. Its duration of around three hours was also disclosed!?
Speaking about the lengthy runtime of the film, Ranbir Kapoor said in a statement as per Indiatoday, ¡°The story of 'Animal' requires this amount of time to reach the audience. We saw the first cut that was 3 hours and 49 mins and we were entertained. Don't be panicked by the length and just come experience cinema at its best.¡±
It has been reported that the producers intended to screen the extended version in theaters at two different times. That being said, it was a bold move. In an attempt to be cautious, the distributors also trimmed a few sequences, bringing the theatrical version's final runtime down to three hours and twenty-one minutes.
Vanga has now acknowledged that everyone has a different idea of what constitutes toxicity and that different viewpoints on a story and its characters can have an impact.
He said in an interview with The Hindu, ¡°I did not face much criticism for Arjun Reddy, but it was different for Kabir Singh. I don¡¯t want to name anyone but I saw a few people debating about Kabir Singh to get publicity before the release of their own films. A leading producer-director said he was scared to admit liking Kabir Singh. People acted as though I had made a film on the lines of the French film Irreversible. That film left me disturbed for days, though I could also see the artistic side of it.¡±
Regarding Animal, Vanga stated that he was pleased with its A certificate, which indicates that the film is meant for viewers who are at least 18 years old. He discussed not taking younger family members or his son Arjun to see the movie in theaters.?
