Karan Johar is back with his celebrated chat show Koffee With Karan season 8. While the first episode featuring celebrity couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh started with the bang, the upcoming second episode has already raised a lot of anticipation among fans.
This time around, the show will bring the Deol brothers on KJo¡¯s couch and going by the teasers and snippets doing the rounds, it promises to be a fun-filled ride.
After revealing Sunny Deol¡¯s Teddy Bears fetish and their father¡¯s controversial kiss in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, the latest piece of info that has amused fans is how Bobby Deol landed the role in Salman Khan¡¯s Race 3.
Bobby Deol said, ¡°Salman told me that 'Dekh jab mera career thik nahi chal raha tha, main tere bhai ke peeth pad chad gaya tha, main aage badha, main Sanjay Dutt ke peeth par chad gaya, main aage badha.' We call each other mamu, toh maine usko bola 'Mamu, toh mujhe tere peeth par chadhne de na'. So, he remembered that and a couple of years later, I got a phone call from him and he said 'Mamu shirt utarega?'I said, 'Haan mamu main kuch bhi karunga'. So, that's how I got Race.¡±
On the show, Bobby reportedly took a trip down memory lane and opened up about his tough phase. He also recalled how he resorted to drinking during the period.
¡°I started self-pitying myself. I just took on drinking a lot. I was sitting at home and used to keep cursing and saying, why don't people take me? I am good then why don't they want to work with me?¡±.
He further mentioned that once his son told his mother, ¡°Papa sits at home, and you go to work every day¡±. This was like a wakeup call for Bobby. He then went on to express gratitude to his family as they supported him immensely during his low phase. He even mentioned that it took him a lot of time to get out of the negative frame of mind.?
