At the 2023 Emmy Awards, Charlie Puth and The War and Treaty paid tribute to the television idols we tragically have lost.
The musicians played an emotional performance of Puth¡¯s ¡°See You Again¡± and the Rembrandts¡¯ ¡°I'll Be There for You¡± to pay tribute to the singers and artists who have died since the last Emmys event in 2022.
During the 2023 Emmys In Memoriam section, late actor Matthew Perry¡ªwho rose to fame as Chandler Bing on "Friends" received an emotional tribute. Perry, 54, passed away suddenly in October 2023. Law enforcement said he was discovered unconscious in a hot tub at his Los Angeles residence.
Among the night's most remembered artists was Lear, the creative creator of television programs including The Jeffersons and All in the Family. Lear died at age 101 on Dec. 5 2023 from a cardiac arrest.?
While paying tribute to the stars, Rob Reiner said, "We were part of a very unique family, not just the bunkers, but Norman Lear's extended family."
After battling lung cancer, Braugher, the adored actor of Homicide: Life on the Street and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, passed away on December 11 at the age of 61.
Mahoney, Suzanne Marie Somers was an American actress, singer, novelist, and businesswoman in the health and wellness sector. She portrayed Carol Foster Lambert on Step by Step and Chrissy Snow on Three's Company (1977¨C1981). On October 15, 2023, she passed away from "breast cancer with metastasis to the brain."

Other honorees included David McCallum, Bob Barker, Ron Cephas Jones, Angus Cloud, Paul Reubens, Alan Arkin, Treat Williams, Lance Reddick, Richard Belzer, Richard Roundtree, Annie Wersching, and Angela Lansbury.
