A Times Now review of the series reads, ¡°Freedom at Midnight does its utmost to faithfully recreate the era with its casting, production design, and costumes. The makers have aimed to be authentic towards the past and remain quite respectful of the story at hand. Moreover, knowing that there is much more story to be told in the story of India's freedom, the series ends abruptly. Hopefully, there won't be too long a wait for part two.¡±
