The world of Keanu Reeves's John Wick is growing with a prequel anime that aims to explore some of the most intriguing secrets of the series. As per reports a prequel anime film based in the John Wick universe is presently in development, offering audiences a peek of the "impossible task" that led to the retirement of the film's title character, played by Keanu Reeves.?
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, co-creator of the action thriller series Chad Stahelski, who previously served as the other Neo in The Matrix franchise as a stunt double for his future John Wick star Reeves, said that three new projects are in the works.
Talking about the release date, he said, ¡°We¡¯re knee-deep in development on a feature anime about John Wick.¡± Consequently, the project is still in its very early phases of development. The date of release is still pending.
In terms of what to anticipate, he stated that the anime can be a little more bizarre and wild, and the TV show's world-building and narrative can be much more explicit. He added, ¡°So those are exciting to us without seeming repetitive, and that¡¯s where we¡¯re putting our energies right now.¡±
