Looks like Squid Game: The Challenge is not what the OG show¡¯s fans were expecting.?
The sequel to Hwang Dong-hyuk's 2021 South Korean viral series "Squid Game" has debuted on Netflix. But this isn't just another terrifying installment of the frightening survival drama in which participants are slaughtered in a gory, covert competition.
The 10-episode reality series "Squid Game: The Challenge" follows 456 real players as they compete for a $4.56 million cash prize while playing the same kid-friendly games¡ªobviously here no one dies.
After watching the show, fans realized that they did not sign up for a reality show.?
One wrote, ¡°Oh the Newly released Squid Games is awful. They f*in Americanized it. America is ALWAYS ready to ruin good things.¡±
Another added, ¡°Netflix making a real life game show of squid game which was a criticism of capitalism is very tone deaf i¡¯m also probably gonna watch it¡±
A third wrote, ¡°How the hell did netflix ethically create a reality show version of squid games.¡±
A few new characters, including Yim Si-wan, Kang Ae-sim, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee David, Lee Jin-uk, Choi Seung-hyun, Park Sung-hoon, Jo Yu-ri, Yang Dong-geun, Roh Jae-won, and Won Ji-an, will make their television debut in Squid Game:The Challenge.
Squid Game: The Challenge will release a total of ten episodes. Reality series Squid Game currently has five episodes available on Netflix India. According to reports, the remaining four will be available on November 29 and the final episode will air on December 6th
