Rumour mills have been working overtime as reports of trouble in paradise have been doing the rounds for Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. It caught more fire when the former was seen making an appearance recently sans his wedding ring.
However, putting rest to all speculations, Aishwarya and Abhishek made a stylish appearance together at the screening of The Archies. They were joined by daughter Aaradhya and Amitabh Bachchan as well.?
The Bachchan clan came together to cheer for Agastya Nanda, the son of Amitabh¡¯s daughter Shweta who is making his acting debut with the film alongside Shah Rukh¡¯s daughter Suhana Khan and Boney Kapoor¡¯s daughter Khushi Kapoor.?
Aishwarya, Abhishek and Aaradhya were dressed in black. They also struck a pose with the man of the hour Agastya. Apart from them, Agastya¡¯a sister Navya Naveli looked spectacular in a red gown, Jaya chose an off-white ensemble while proud mother Shweta opted for a black and gold outfit.?
?Apart from the trio, The Archies also stars Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda in key roles. The Indian adaptation of the beloved comics will be released on Netflix on December 7.
The Archies follows the life of seven teenagers in the idyllic fictional town of Riverdale. The 3 minute long trailer shows the titular character of Archie Andrews, essayed by Agastya, who is a compulsive flirt and has his eyes set on Veronica, portrayed by Suhana, and Betty portrayed by Khushi, both of whom are best friends.
The trailer shows the group of teenagers wrestling with love, heartache, friendship and rebellion as it offers a glimpse into the world of the film, set in the hilly town of Riverdale, in the India of the 1960s.
The conflict in the film arises when ¡®Green Park¡¯, which is so dear to the teenagers, gets sold for building a swanky hotel by Veronica¡¯ dad, who also buys all the shops at Town Square to rebuild them into a plaza. This leads to friction between the friends and sets the ground for the narrative.
The film is directed by Zoya Akhtar, who has co-written it with Reema Kagti and Ayesha Devitre.?
It will begin streaming on Netflix from December 7.
