OTT movie "Bawaal," starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, has swept India in its first week of release, attracting a lot of attention and accolades.
A media consulting company reports that the movie has already topped seven million views, confirming its status as a significant hit.
This has been followed by a great deal of criticism on the use of the central theme. After seeing the movie, viewers got offended by references made about Auschwitz and Adolf Hitler.
The engrossing storyline of Bawaal dives into the difficulties that relationships face, masterfully constructing a tale of rediscovery for Ajay (Varun Dhawan) and Nisha (Janhvi Kapoor). The sincere depiction of their love journey has been well received by viewers, garnering acclaim and admiration for the writing, performances, production design, and director. It seems that Bawaal's momentum is continuing to increase.
Talking about the references, he said as per BollywoodHungama, ¡°While creating a character, you can go back and look at the events and incidents which can play an important role in the overall arc of that character and the relationship in general. It¡¯s not just about Hitler. There are many more things that you may not have seen in the trailer. Every incident has been very carefully chosen that can have an impact on the overall arc."
"Ajju bhaiya ne Mahual bana diya. Thank u for giving bawaal a place In Your heart. I have never received so many calls for any film of mine. The impact this film is having on people is incredible. It¡¯s a conversation starter about the fake image industry and how today we are all in someway slaves to this ideology. Thank u for watching and enjoying Ajju and his family. You are bawaal (sic)," the actor captioned his post.
