The show based on a real-life event from 1999 has cleared most of the doubts that one may have about the Kandahar Hijack, but there is still one question that is being raised by viewers that's making them curious. The question is: What happened to IC 814 aircraft after the Kandahar hijack ended? Since the passengers and crew on board returned to India through a special flight, did the IC 814 aircraft flow back to India?
?
Since the last scenes of the series don't show what happened to the hijacked aircraft at last, here are the real facts: Yes, the hijacked plane did return to India on January 1, 2000. According to media reports, the aircraft also returned to the country but without passengers. If few reports are to be believed, the plane did return to service after some time but eventually was decommissioned.?
?There is no public information on the whereabouts of the aircraft, but it can be said that it must have been scrapped or sold post-retirement like other usual planes.
