Vice President of Netflix India, Monika Shergill, has said that the changes in the disclaimer will be made to assist viewers who are unaware about the 1999 hijacking in undesratning the issue easily.?
The decision came on Tuesday after Shergill had a meeting with Sanjay Jaju, the information and broadcasting secretary in New Delhi. The meeting was organised after there were concerns raised by viewers and critics over the show. The objection raised also included that there is the use of Hindu code names by the hijackers, and it has been portrayed in the Netflix show.
