The audio launch ceremony for Aishwarya Rajinikanth's much-anticipated third directorial project, "Lal Salaam," was organised on Friday, January 26, in Chennai.
At the event, Aishwarya, the daughter of the legendary actor Rajnikanth, took a moment to address the recent criticism her father faced on social media.
Expressing her emotions, she revealed her initial anger upon seeing her father being labelled a 'Sanghi.'
Unfamiliar with the term, she sought its meaning, only to learn that it referred to people supporting a specific political party.?
Hearing this, Rajinikanth welled up with tears, and his fans went into a frenzy upon listening to her speech.
Aishwarya disclosed during the Friday event that, when initiating this film project, she faced numerous challenges due to several producers being hesitant to support it.
She noted that upon her father learning about the script, he expressed interest in portraying the role of Moideen Bhai. Aishwarya admitted that initially she was hesitant.
The movie stars Vikranth and Vishnu Vishal in prominent lead roles, while the iconic Rajinikanth makes a significant extended cameo appearance as 'Moideen Bhai.'
The film's musical score is being crafted by AR Rahman, and Lyca Productions is overseeing the production.
The movie's scheduled theatrical release is set for February 9, 2024.
Aishwarya, on January 26, also shared the poster of the movie on Twitter, which was captioned, "Thankful..grateful..blessed!"
On January 23, she announced the grand audio launch event date with a video on Twitter.
