Anand Mahindra Requests Autograph From '12th Fail' Inspiration Couple, Shares Insight From 'Lunch Date'

It's when Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, met the couple who inspired Vikrant Massey's Bollywood movie '12th Fail. Anand met Manoj Kumar Sharma, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, and his wife, Shraddha Joshi, an Indian Revenue Service officer. Anand shared a photo from their latest lunch date on Wednesday, along with some insights from their table.
Insights From The 'Lunch Date'
The couple's life story served as inspiration for the successful film '12th Fail,' earning lead actor Vikrant Massey the Best Actor (Critics) Filmfare Award.
During the lunch meeting, Mahindra referred to Manoj Sharma and Shraddha Joshi as "true real-life heroes" and commended their commitment to a life of scrupulous integrity. He shared a photo on X with the couple, where they can be seen holding a paper bearing their autographs.? Mahindra expressed his belief that India's path to becoming a global power would accelerate if more people embraced the couple's way of life.
Sharing the 'Lunch Date' picture, Mahindra wrote, "They were shy when I requested them for their autographs, which I am proudly holding."
He further added, "I am a wealthier man today, for having met them."
As soon as Anand shared the picture on X, users also started showering love on the couple. One of the users too called them "Heros of real life!"??
