After Anupam Kher and Vivek Agnihotri,Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has also slammed Arvind Kejriwal for his remarks on The Kashmir Files during the budget session in the Delhi Assembly.?
Arvind Kejriwal had suggested that the government should rather upload the movie on YouTube than make it tax-free. He said that everyone will have easy access to the film, if they want everyone to watch it.?
"Some people are earning crores in the name of Kashmiri Pandits and you (BJP) have been sticking posters of the film.? They (BJP) are demanding that the movie be declared tax-free in Delhi. Upload it on YouTube, the movie will become free and everyone will be able to watch it," he said.
In an interview with Firstpost, Vivek Agnihotri reacted to Kejriwal's jibe. He said, "Am I really supposed to react to something so absurd? Would he ask Steven Spielberg to upload Schindler¡¯s List on YouTube? Not that I am comparing my small film to Schindler¡¯s List. Just asking."
He then added, "Two crore people have seen The Kashmir Files already. They are responding with deep pure emotions. I would rather concentrate on those two-crore people than the 20 politicians who are professional abusers."
