¡®Sara Din Baitha Raha Aur Unko Dekhta Raha¡¯, Ayushmann Khurrana On His First Meeting With SRK
Who doesn¡¯t know how impactful of a personality actor Shah Rukh Khan is? It¡¯s close to every other person who says that the don actor has inspired him or they aspire to get even close to what he is. It was recently that Ranveer Singh called SRK his idol that now Ayushmann has shared how it feels like being a fanboy to King Khan.
Ayushmann whose film ¡®An Action Hero¡¯ was released on December 2nd has confessed to being an SRK fan not once but many times.
In an exclusive interaction with India Today, Khurrana recalled his first meeting with SRK and said, ¡°I was a radio jockey that time. I was a radio presenter. I had gone for a shoot of some radio bites but I couldn't take it because he was busy shooting for a car commercial in Hiranandani, Bombay.¡±
¡°Those were my initial days in Bombay. So, I was just so mesmerised. I was just sitting there watching him shoot. Unhone mujhe chai de di, pani de dia. And said, sorry he is very busy right now. I was like that's alright. Even if he is busy, I would like to stay here only. Toh main wahi baitha raha sara din aur unko dekhta raha. So, that's it.¡±
It wasn¡¯t late that Ayushmann got a chance to interact with SRK soon after that.
Revisiting that he said, ¡°First interaction was when I was a TV anchor. So, he had visited a show to promote his film. I think it was My Name Is Khan. So, I was hosting and when he walked on the stage, I was so spellbound. I was reading a teleprompter and was asking the questions. I was tongue-tied.¡±
¡°But after that, I met him inside Mannat, also. I have gone to his place and each and every time I see him, it's just different. And it¡¯s so surreal that I have bought tickets for his film in black and I have watched each and every film of his. I am fanboy.¡±
During the promotions of his recent release, Ayushmann¡¯s picture of standing outside SRK¡¯s Mannat had gone viral. The actor also spoke about the same.
He said, ¡°We all have that, right? And at any phase of life whether you are growing or you are doing something. You have hopes, certain beliefs, faith and that's how life is. So, yeah. I really want this film to do well. Audience should love this film, An action Hero. Aur yahi meri mannat hain.¡±
¡°And I have grown up watching Shah Rukh sir. And I have been a huge fan. And I call myself SRK fan. I am a fanboy. So, I was crossing Mannat while I was going for a conclave and I was felicitated there. So, on my way back, It was a Sunday, so I saw a lot of people were there. So, I parked my car and just stood there. That's it.¡±
