Mumbai¡¯s local metro train is one such place where there¡¯s never a dull day. Now and then, several videos go viral on the internet where people are seen singing and dancing to lift their moods. One such video caught our attention where a few elderly men are seen grooving to the iconic ¡®Kaanta Laga¡¯.
A few people who are not caught by the camera can be seen giving beats that will even make us get up and dance. Two men are in the bay space dancing and singing as others enjoy the gala time. Several people are clapping and some are recording this moment that will always be remembered. See the viral video here:-
One user wrote, ¡°7:25 from Churchgate to Borivali slow, dabba no 5-6 from start, only on Monday to Friday. You will definitely enjoy the vibe & energy.¡± Another said, ¡°Unfortunately this is the last generation enjoying in local train.¡± Third added, ¡°Inko bhi hak hai apne liye jeene ke liye. ghr se office office se ghr ki zindagi ke bad bhi inka kuch hai.¡±
Kaanta Laga originally featured in the film Samadhi (1972). The veteran actress Asha Parekh showed her unforgettable moves on the vocals of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. The song was composed by R.D. Burman and written by Majrooh Sultanpuri. Kaanta still remains our go-to dance number.
In an earlier interview with Times of India, Shefali credited this song to be her ¡®shot to fame¡¯. She shared, ¡°I was in college then and I come from a family of academicians, so my parents told me to focus on my studies. But I wanted to do it because I was getting paid for it. I earned ?7,000 from that song, and I wanted to see myself on TV.¡±
