Talking about another scene in the film, he said, "The scene where the cop looks at the woman¡¯s photograph and can¡¯t make out much because she is in a ghunghat, is there in my film. Except in my film, it¡¯s not a cop but another character."
For the unversed, the Kiran Rao-directed film produced by Aamir Khan has been written by?Biplab Goswami,?a native of Agartala, Tripura.?Biplab Goswami shared that the film's concept stemmed from his early experiences with gender discrimination, a realization that dawned on him during childhood and intensified as he grew older.
