Aditya Roy Kapur has always been a bit of an enigma when it comes to his love life, leaving fans wondering if he¡¯s just a classic commitment-phobic. But wait¡ªwhat does he have to say about it? Recently, on Kareena Kapoor¡¯s chat show What Women Want, Aditya finally addressed the million-dollar question about his relationship status.
Kareena wasted no time bringing up the topic, admitting that while Aditya might be dodging the subject, a whole lot of curious women want to know what¡¯s up. Aditya shrugged it off, saying, ¡°My status? Is chilling a status? I¡¯m a chiller!¡± Well, we don¡¯t know what you mean, but we get it.
When Kareena threw the commitment-phobia bomb at him, Aditya was quick to defend himself. ¡°I can¡¯t say I¡¯m commitment-phobic,¡± he insisted. ¡°I¡¯ve had long relationships in my 20s that lasted three to five years.¡± So, no, he doesn¡¯t fear commitment¡ªhe just wants to make sure it¡¯s with someone he actually vibes with. ¡°You shouldn¡¯t get into something just because you don¡¯t like being alone,¡± he said, dropping some relationship wisdom. Talk about self-awareness!
Aditya¡¯s clearly all about maintaining that air of mystery when it comes to his love life, stating he¡¯s currently ¡°chilling¡± without spilling too much tea. But let¡¯s face it, with his romantic history, it¡¯s hard to stay out of the gossip mill!
In case you forgot, Aditya was linked to some pretty big names before his recent fling with Ananya Panday, which reportedly ended in May. He and Ananya first sparked dating rumours in 2022, thanks to Karan Johar¡¯s cheeky hints on Koffee With Karan. But before Ananya, Aditya had his share of notable romances, including:
Ahana Deol: Rumoured to have dated Hema Malini¡¯s daughter for about four years after meeting on the set of Guzaarish.??
Shraddha Kapoor: Their chemistry in Aashiqui 2 was undeniable, but alas, parental disapproval drove them apart. Still, the sparks were real.
Rhea Chakraborty: This relationship lasted from 2012 to 2014, and these two were quite the duo back in the day.
As for his career, fans can catch Aditya in Metro In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu. This film is a sequel to the 2007 classic Life In A Metro and features a stellar cast, including Sara Ali Khan and Pankaj Tripathi.
