¡®Maybe SRK¡¯s Hardwork Doesn¡¯t Show & Ajay¡¯s Does¡¯: Kajol On Differences Between Her Two ¡®Mains¡¯
Actors Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are Bollywood's most loved on-screen couple. The duo has starred together in numerous films and become lovers that the country idealises. Kajol who is an off-screen best friend to SRK has now revealed the difference between him and her husband-actor Ajay Devgn.
In a recent interview, Kajol tried decoding the ever-lasting stardom of Shah Rukh Khan and shared a few anecdotes.
The Salaam Venky actress said on the Beer Biceps podcast, ¡°Shah Rukh is one of those people who recognised very early on who he was on screen, who he was expected to be, and pretty much lived up to those expectations. I remember once on his birthday, I was like, ¡®It¡¯s your birthday, I¡¯m coming to see you¡¯.¡±
¡°He said, ¡®Come, come, but today¡¯s not a good day¡¯. I said, ¡®Why?¡¯ He said, ¡®I have to go out, I have to meet all these people, give interviews. At the end of the day, my birthday¡¯s not my own anymore. I belong to these people¡¯. And that¡¯s who he is.¡±
Kajol recalled somebody asking her how Shah Rukh became who he is today to which she replied, ¡°The answer is so simple. It¡¯s because he worked hard for it. Maybe his hard work doesn¡¯t show, and Ajay Devgn¡¯s shows. He just works 24/7 at making sure he is who he is, unchanging, and at the same time, changing, and evolving, and doing other things.¡±
Kajol and Shah Rukh who were last seen in Dilwale (2015) also addressed the possibility of them coming together again.
She told India Today, "As of now nothing. I don't know. Maybe we should ask him, but as of now, nothing immediately." Kajol, however, added that she would love working with Shah Rukh. Asked if Shah Rukh changed over the years, Kajol knew ¡®for a fact¡¯ that he is focussing more on himself now, and taking the time to concentrate on his personal life.
Kajol and SRK worked together on films like Karan Arjun, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and My Name is Khan. On the work front, Shah Rukh will return after a hiatus of 4 years with Pathaan, Jawaan and then Dunki. He also has an anticipated special appearance in Salman Khan¡¯s Tiger 3.
On the other hand, Kajol¡¯s Salaam Venky will release on the upcoming Friday (9th December). She will be further seen in her OTT debut series ¡®The Good Wife¡¯. This Disney+ Hotstar project is an Indian adaptation of Robert King and Michelle King¡¯s legal and political drama that goes by the same name.
