Maidaan: Ajay Devgn is getting ready to play a football coach in Boney Kapoor's next film, Maidaan. The narrative revolves around Syed Abdul Rahim's unwavering efforts to establish and develop a team of young players from underprivileged backgrounds in order to elevate Indian football on a worldwide scale.
Although the plot of Maidaan seems a lot like that of Shah Rukh Khan's Chak De India, is Maidaan truly that similar to the SRK starrer? Know here!
Amit Ravindernath Sharma told Indiatoday, ¡°As soon as a sports film arrives, people compare these films because of the story of a coach and players. Even before watching the film, people assume that it¡¯s a similar film.¡±
?He continued, ¡°There are no similarities between these films, except maybe 22 players are running after one ball on the field. The story is different, the struggle is different. This is also not a sports biopic, it¡¯s the journey of Abdul Rahim. Maidaan is about his emotional journey. Football is just the medium.¡±
Amit Sharma added that he had always wanted to make a biopic, therefore creating Maidaan was a challenge for him. He clarified that difficulties are what make things interesting and that it's critical for people to be aware of the man's services to the nation.

¡°Challenges are always good, as one would get bored making the same films. The most important thing is that audiences will finally get to know about this man. They need to know what he¡¯s done for the country. There is no jingoism, but just his utmost love for India and football¡± he added.
On April 10, Maidaan, which also stars Priyamani and Gajraj Rao in significant roles, will be released in theaters.?
