Not Rohit Shetty But An Assistant Told Neena Gupta That She Had Been Removed From Sooryavanshi

One of 2020's highly awaited films, Sooryavanshi was all set to release in early March but owing to Coronavirus, the film's release has been inevitably delayed.?

However, controversies related to the film's director, Rohit Shetty are not getting over anytime soon. First, it was his sexist remarks against Katrina Kaif that had him trolled and now Neena Gupta has come out to tell how she was removed from Sooryavanshi and Rohit Shetty as the director of the film never informed her of the same.

Veteran actress?Neena Gupta was cast to play Akshay Kumar's onscreen mother in Sooryavanshi. However, it was later reported that she had been removed from Rohit Shetty's film as the character did not work for the film's script. At this point, Neena had shot for three days for the film,?

In an interview, Neena Gupta spoke about how Rohit Shetty never informed her about cutting out her role. "Rohit Shetty never came. I never talked to him. I was told that the track has not been working for the film so they are removing the track by the production assistant,” she said.

However, actress was quick to add that she holds no grudges or anger against the director and said that actors have it much worse. “It happens in a movie that sometimes, a certain character doesn’t work. Shooting ke baad vo hatate, isse acha hai pehle hi hata diya. I don’t have any problem with that,” Neena Gupta said.?

But the more pertaining question is, could Rohit Shetty have done this to say, Akshay Kumar or Ranveer Singh? That he is cutting out their part without any explanation? Well, we guess we all know the answer to this one.?
