Ayushmann Khurrana¡¯s upcoming release ¡®An Action Hero¡¯ is quite the talk of the town. The makers recently released a dance number from the film that starred Malaika Arora and was a remake of Aap Jaisa Koi. The song was originally sung by Pakistani pop star Nazia Hassan and featured the legend, Zeenat Aman, in it.
Calling out Tanishk Bagchi¡¯s creation ¡®ruined perfect classic¡¯, Adnan wrote, "Is there something in the air that the world has suddenly developed a penchant for ruining perfect classics? Even re-creation requires talent. Nazia Hassan must be turning in her grave. #AapJaisaKoi nahi (nobody is like you)..."?
Several other people also beat his drum and slammed the Zahrah S Khan and Altamash Faridi sung remix. A user wrote, "Just shows people lack own initiative and lack skill knowledge in writing. It's easier to copy others' fine tune and music. Lack of creativity." Another said, ¡®Pakistani singers are getting butchered¡¯.
The song originally starred in Bollywood film Qurbani (1980) which was produced, directed by, and also starred Feroz Khan. The film had another superhit song in its name, Laila O Laila. The film featured Vinod Khanna, Amjad Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Aruna Irani, Amrish Puri and Kadar Khan.
He told IANS, ¡°It has been an absolute pleasure to dance with two of the biggest dancing stars of India - Malaika Arora in the situational song Aap Jaisa Koi and Nora Fatehi in Jehda Nasha in my upcoming release An Action Hero. I danced my heart out for the first time in a film and had so much fun! Dancing like this in my films was part of my bucket list for sure and I¡¯m amazed that it got fulfilled with Malaika Arora and Nora Fatehi.¡±
