Internet Is Convinced SRK-Deepika Starrer Pathaan’s Besharam Rang Is Copied From Jain’s Makeba!

The latest song of Shah Rukh Khan’s most anticipated film Pathaan, Besharam Rang has raised eyebrows for many reasons. After being mercilessly trolled for being vulgar, it is now said that the song’s beats have uncanny similarities with the french song Makeba.

After calling the song Ghunghroo 2.0, netizens are now convinced that the song has more flaws left to unfold.

The beat that plays in Besharam Rang starring SRK alongside Deepika Padukone sounds very similar to Jain's french song. Released in 2016, Makeba was produced by French beatmaker Yodelice. You might have heard this song in the popular Levi’s commercial. The original song was titled in reference to veteran South African vocalist and activist Miriam Makeba. Here’s the OG song:-

Besharam Rang features SRK and Deepika romancing in an exotic locale of Europe. The actress’ golden monokini and the superstar going shirtless showing off his chiselled has just brewed strong reactions in people. In the past two days, #BoycottPathaan has trended vigorously on Twitter calling out the song’s vulgarity.

It is not the first time that people found similarities between Pathaan from other existing artworks.

While some mentioned that Besharam Rang appears to be another version of Hrithik Roshan-Vaani Kapoor’s ‘Ghungroo’, others compared it to ‘Race 2’ visuals. Previously, a few netizens also pointed out that Pathaan’s teaser was a carbon copy of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier."

During a recent press interaction, Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran called SRK’s Pathaan the saviour of Bollywood.

He told Film Companion, “There have been times not too long ago when we’ve set down the table & thought, ‘How are they doing it? How is Hindi cinema cracking this? How are they able to open up such huge overseas markets?’ And that’s not too long ago. I am not talking about the medieval ages.”

“So, this I truly believe is a phase. There will be one big hit, maybe it’s Pathaan. I know some of the newer films that are on floors right now, what those filmmakers are making. Some of them are really exciting. It could just be one big film followed by another big film and the whole narrative will change,” he added.

On the work front, SRK’s Pathaan is set to release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on January 25, 2023. The same year, SRK’s Dunki opposite Taapsee Pannu and Jawan will also witness a theatrical release.
