Cirkus Is Open! Are you booking your tickets?
Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is back with his master genre of comedy and has launched the trailer of his next named Cirkus. Starring Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez and Varun Sharma, the glamour-packed trailer also shows a song that will feature Deepika Padukone alongside Ranveer dancing.
Blushing on the sides, Ranveer said, "Now what do you want me to say? The song is a high-voltage one with high energy like 440 volts. Deepika came to the office a day before the trailer launch and Rohit was showing her the song.¡± For the unversed, Ranveer and Deepika married after six years of dating in 2018.
Cirkus trailer is garnering a lot of attention as it seems all fun, typically like every other Rohit Shetty film. Set in the 60s, Ranveer will be seen in a double role in this out-and-out comedy film. Other than him, the film has an ensemble cast including Pooja, Jacqueline, Varun, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Siddhartha Jadhav, Mukesh Tiwari, Vrajesh Hirjee, Ashwini Kalsekar, Radhika Bangia, Tiku Talsania, Vijay Patkar, Anil Charanjeett, Sulbha Arya and Brijendra Kala.
¡°Sidhu [Siddharth Jadhav] is there since Golmaal: Fun Unlimited (2006) as the character Sattu Supari. Sanjay [Mishra] did my first film Zameen (2003). Then I had told him, let's do a comedy together. Vrijesh Hirjee and Johnny Lever tab se hai. My team, my Ads and production team, have been there since 10-14 years. It's a family, it's not a team,¡± he reiterated.
This T Series film is due for its release on 23rd December 2023. Cirkus is based on the 1982 Hindi film Angoor which was a remake of the 1968 Hindi film Do Dooni Chaar. This film was also an adaptation of the 1963 Bengali film Bhranti Bilas which was again based on Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar's 1869 play of the same name adapted from William Shakespeare's play The Comedy of Errors.
