The Sabarmati Report box office collection day 2 has been revealed. The Vikrant Massey film had a rather slow start on day 1 but things got better on the second day. Apart from Vikrant, the film also stars Riddhi Dogra, Raashii Khanna and others. The Sabarmati Report is based on the real-life Godhra incident back in 2002. The overall occupancy rate for the film was 16.74 percent.Directed by Dheeraj Sarna, The Sabarmati Report is produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, which is owned by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor, along with Amul V. Mohan and Anshul Mohan. According to the trade website Sacnilk, it had a collection of almost Rs 1.15 crore on day 1. Here¡¯s how much the film made on its second day:
As per early estimates stated by Sacnilk, The Sabarmati Report made Rs 2 crore on day 2. This makes the total collection so far, Rs 3.25 crore.
A horrific event in history, the burning of a Sabarmati Express coach close to Godhra, Gujarat served as the inspiration for the film The Sabarmati Report.The majority of the passengers on the train were Hindu pilgrims returning from a religious event in Ayodhya on their way to Ahmedabad. Gujarat saw communal rioting as a result of the tragedy, which claimed the lives of 59 people. The movie goes on to pay tribute to those who lost their lives and also be a voice to those who lost their loved ones as a result of the tragic incident.
