After Bollywood actor Salman Khan who is getting constant threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang over the Blackbuck case, now actor Vikrant Massey has revealed that he is also getting threats over his upcoming film The Sabarmati Report, which is?based on the real life Godhra train burning incident of 2002.?
During the trailer launch event, the actor who is known for his works in films like 12th Fail and web series like Mirzapur, revealed that he has been getting death threats doing the movie which is based on the real-life events of the burning of the Sabarmati Express in Godhra, Gujarat on February 27, 2002.
"Ji haan aayi hain or aa rahi hain. But as I said ki hum kalakar haim aur kahaniyaan bolte hai. (Yes, I have been receiving theatres and more are coming. But as I said, we are artists and we tell stories.)?This film is purely based on facts. It is something that I am dealing with and we as a team collectively are dealing with and I think we will deal with it the way it has to be," Vikrant shared.?
Ever since the trailer has been released, fans are mighty impressed with it. "We need more movies like this...! Asking more uncomfortable questions for the wrong doings..! For sure i will watch it..," one of them wrote. "No action , no vfx , still it gives goosebumps, excellent work," said another one. "We need more movies like this.. looks amazing," another one added.?
Directed by Dheeraj Sarna and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan and Anshul Mohan, the film pays homage to the innocent lives lost 22 years ago. Vikrant Massey plays a journalist who probes the truth behind the 2002 Godhra train burning incident in The Sabarmati Report.Also featuring Raashi Khanna and Riddi Dogra, the film is set to be released on November 15.?
