Aadujeevitham Controversy: The film "Aadujeevitham - The Goat Life" received positive reviews for both its compelling plot and the lead actors' outstanding performances when it made its global premiere on March 28, 2024. But the film has encountered an unanticipated controversy. Rumor had it that Prithviraj Sukumaran and a goat engaged in an ¡®intimate scene¡¯? in the film, but the Censor Board cut it out. Director Blessy stated in an interview a week following the movie's premiere that these reports were untrue and that no such scene was really shot.?
In a conversation with Manorama News, Blessy said, ¡°This is an unnecessary controversy. I¡¯m not sure if someone is deliberately creating these rumours. I hope the audience will distance themselves from such rumours.¡±
He further added, ¡°During the scripting stage, discussions about this scene arose. The way Benyamin wrote the scene is quite subtle. But, for me to film such a scene is not easy. However, that wasn¡¯t my main concern. I could have shot the scene in various ways, but I was thinking about Najeeb. Wouldn¡¯t he feel guilt afterwards? Perhaps the Najeeb in the book is without guilt, but my Najeeb is not like that.¡±

The book is based on the true incident of Najeeb, a Malayali migrant worker who, along with many others, was kidnapped by native Arabs and forced to work as a goatherd in Saudi Arabia's deserts. In addition to Talib Al Balushi, Rik Aby, Amala Paul, and Shobha Mohan in supporting roles, the film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jimmy Jean-Louis, and K. R. Gokul in the lead roles.
