After the Citizenship Amendment Act came into effect on Jan 10, people and celebrities once again voiced their opinions out in protest. One of them was Anurag Kashyap who demanded to see Prime Minister Narendra Modi's political science degree as well as his father's birth certificate.
This wasn't the first time that Anurag Kashyap expressed his opinion. The filmmaker has been quite actively participating in protests as well.
Now singer-actress Suchitra Krishnamoorthi attacked Anurag Kashyap in her tweets recently. While explaining things about nepotism to a Twitter user, she said that one has to prove themselves and not insult others for being born in a celebrity family.?
"Example of my last tweet being #AnuragKashyap . Bhai apna kaam first dhang se Karo - sacred games aur ghost stories jaise bakwaas banaate ho. Failure digest nahi hota isliye #PMModi ko insult Karne me lage ho. It's twisted," she wrote.?
In another tweet, she wrote, "Everybody is entitled to dissent & protest & opinion. But a decorum & conduct must be maintained if we aspire to a civilized society. Gutter talk & abusive language may be fashionable in a certain brand of alternate Cinema - but it must not become a norm in public discourse."
However, she soon deleted these tweets. After being called out for deleting her opinion, Suchitra clarified that she deleted the tweets because she didn't want to get embroiled in a war of words.?
¡°Ya I deleted this tweet bec I didn't want the stress of tu tu.main main. But I meant it nevertheless," she wrote.
